Vietnamese Fisheries & Aquaculture Institution Network

On April 2, 2005, 7 leading Vietnamese Fisheries & Aquaculture institutes decided to establish a consortium for closer cooperation. The consortium was named ViFINET which stands for 'Vietnam Fishery & Aquaculture Institution Network'.

All the Network’s members agreed to: Collaborate in training and research Share relevant information and existing resources Demonstrate the Network’s capacity of consulting the Ministry of Fisheries for sustainable development Seek for possible financial support in order to improve training and research capacity of all the Network’s members and Conduct other actvities where mutual interest exists among the Network’s members.

• Research Institute for Aquaculture No.1, Bac Ninh Province
• Research Institute for Aquaculture No.2, Ho Chi Minh City
• Research Institute for Aquaculture No.3, Nha Trang City
•  Research Institute for Marine Fisheries, Hai Phong City
