On May 2nd, a proposal for a Coordination & Support Action was submitted under the EC 7th Framework Program as a follow up on the AqASEM activities. 
The outcome of the evaluation is expected by the summer of 2007

On May 2nd, a proposal for a Coordination & Support Action was submitted under the EC 7th Framework Program as a follow up on the AqASEM activities. 
Planned activities include:

1. validation of expert recommendations through engagement with smaller scale producers and other stakeholders to develop effective practice;
2. defining and communicating specific ways in which aquaculture development can best meet social and environmental objectives;
3. translating priority recommendations into concrete actions; 
4. to build and exchange knowledge and its application.

The common denominator of the actions is the concerted effort to initiate joint EU-Asia processes which have impact on research excellence, good governance, fair trade, social equity and sustainability.

The outcome of the evaluation is expected by the summer of 2007
